Terms of Service

Welcome to ChargeFix. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ChargeFix application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by ChargeFix, Inc. ("ChargeFix", "we", "us", or "our").

By installing the ChargeFix application from the Shopify App Store or utilizing our services, you ("Merchant", "you", or "your") agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not install or use the Service.

1. Description of Service

ChargeFix is an automated chargeback defense and evidence preparation software application designed exclusively for e-commerce merchants operating on Shopify. The Service ingests Shopify dispute notifications, retrieves relevant order fulfillment and shipping carrier telemetry (e.g., EasyPost), generates structured legal representment evidence using artificial intelligence models, and synchronizes compiled drafts directly to your Shopify Admin.

2. Merchant Control & Shopify Relationship

ChargeFix is an independent third-party software provider and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Shopify Inc. or any card network (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover).

3. Pricing, Billing & Subscription Plans

ChargeFix provides transparent, predictable pricing billed securely through the Shopify App Subscription Billing API:

• Basic Plan ($0/month Forever Free): Includes 2 disputes per month, AI evidence compilation, manual review, and basic analytics. No credit card required.
• Grow Plan ($29/month): Includes unlimited disputes, automated evidence collection, reason code matching, analytics dashboard, and chat support (with a 14-day free trial).
• Advanced & Plus Plan ($79/month): Includes everything in Grow plus predictive chargeback risk scoring on new orders, custom product category evidence templates, and Shopify Plus volume SLA.

No success commissions or percentage cuts are ever charged on recovered dispute funds. All payments are processed securely through Shopify's App Billing Infrastructure, and merchants may cancel anytime directly in their Shopify Admin.

4. No Guarantee of Dispute Outcome

While ChargeFix generates evidence dossiers adhering to card network rules (such as Visa Compelling Evidence 3.0), all final chargeback adjudications are made exclusively by the cardholder's issuing bank and relevant card networks. ChargeFix does not guarantee that any dispute will be resolved in your favor and shall not be held liable for dispute losses or associated bank chargeback fees.

5. Data Privacy & Stateless Operation

We respect the privacy of merchants and their customers. ChargeFix does not permanently store cardholder Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or dispute evidence text in persistent application databases. Evidence dossiers are generated in-memory and synchronized directly to Shopify Admin. Please review our Privacy Policy for complete details.

6. Termination

You may terminate this agreement at any time simply by uninstalling the ChargeFix application from your Shopify Admin. Upon uninstallation, all active API syncs will cease immediately, and no future usage charges will occur.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ChargeFix shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.
